Frequently asked questions about the i-walk 46

  • The co-botic is a cleaning machine that works alongside the human operator, not replacing them. It frees up time for more detailed tasks or guest care. At i-team, we offer several co-botics: the i-walk co-botic platform, co-botic 45 scrubber dryer, and the co-botic 1700 and co-botic 1900 vacuum cleaners.

    • First, install the steel bar on the i-mop, attach the dedicated axle, and secure the trolley handles.
    • Connect the i-walk to the network (WI-FI or SIM card).
    • Ensure that the i-power battery is fully charged and connect it to the unit.
    • Switch on the i-walk. Connect the controller battery to the handle module and make sure it's fully charged.
    • Press and hold the power button on the handle module for a few seconds to turn it on. When the light is a constant blue, it means it's connected to the i-walk.
    • Slide the handle module onto the i-mop.
    • Ensure the i-mop solution tank is filled with a maximum of 4 liters of water.
    • Set the i-mop to the cleaning position. Press the lock button on the handle module, connect the i-mop to the i-walk, and lock the fix ring.

Now your i-walk is ready to start cleaning.

  • Regularly clean your i-walk with a damp cloth. Check that the sensors are free from dirt, and inspect the unit and wheels for any damage. The i-walk functions best when the i-mop it's connected to is in top condition. Regularly check the i-mop's squeegee, brushes, and solution tank. See more on the i-mop how-to page.

  • You can set up a cleaning route for your i-walk using the ‘Autofill’ or ‘Teach & Repeat’ features, along with the QR codes included in your set. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Attach the QR code to a visible and convenient location, using the height guide sticker provided.
    2. Position the i-walk in front of the QR code. Once it recognizes the code, you're ready to start mapping.
    3. Choose a mode:
      • Press ‘Autofill’ to map the boundaries of an area. After walking the perimeter, the i-walk will automatically clean the entire space inside.
      • Press ‘Teach & Repeat’ to guide the i-walk along a specific cleaning path. It will remember and repeat this exact route during future cleanings.
    4. After the cleaning is done, the i-walk will return to the starting point.
  • Yes, you can set up and adjust no-go zones in the i-walk app. Restart the i-walk after making changes to take effect.

  • Yes, you will receive notifications and can download cleaning reports directly to your phone when both your phone and the i-walk are connected to the network.

  • Turn off the i-walk and wait for the front lights to turn off. Press and hold the power button on the handle module until all lights go off. Open the fixation ring, step on the yellow paddle to detach the machine, and remove the handle module.

    • Use the SIM card with the i-walk to automatically connect to the app and receive important notifications and cleaning reports.
    • Pre-sweep the area for debris to ensure optimal performance.
    • Don’t use hot water for cleaning. Only use room temperature water.
    • Don’t use foaming cleaning detergent.
    • Don’t clean the i-walk platform with chemicals. Use a damp cloth instead.
    • Don’t let the i-walk clean small or thin objects.
    • Ensure the cleaning area is not obstructed. The i-walk has built-in cliff detection and obstacle avoidance, but objects on the floor should be at least 3 cm high.
    • Make sure to set no-go zones around carpets.
  • Yes, you can use all pads and brushes on the i-mop while it’s in use with the i-walk.

  • Yes, you can adjust the speed in the app. The maximum speed can be set between 0.3 and 1 m/s.
